We are pleased to announce that we have received a generous grant from the Community Resource Unit (CRU) to develop leadership skills within the group. We will be making our first presentation on the subject to local service clubs on May 24th, followed by another and possibly a third later in the year. The aim is to inform the public about the talents of people with disabilities and help them address our needs in terms of support. We will be demonstrating the transformative effects that facilitated communication has had on our lives and our ability to write creatively. In doing so, we will also be recounting personal past experiences but also our hopes for the future.
